Hello
Meet Allison Rentas Green, LCSW, the owner of The Green Collective, PLLC.
Allison is a therapist, peer advisor, and notary who believes in meeting people with empathy, honesty, and a genuine human connection. Her work is shaped not only by her clinical training, but by the many roles she holds in her own life—mom, step-mom, partner, friend, and devoted dog owner. Allison received her Bachelor of Social Work from Austin Peay State University in 2017, followed by her Master of Social Work in 2019.
Allison's first job outside of grad school was a Holocaust Survivor Guardianship Social Worker in Manhattan, NY, and the five boroughs. Allison utilized trauma-informed care daily as she assisted the Holocaust survivors in her care. She later transitioned to working for the Department of Veteran Affairs, where she held numerous roles, including acute medicine, acute psychiatry, and primary care. Allison has assisted in crisis and palliative care/ hospice situations. Allison has supported the social work profession by being a field/ task instructor to over five social work students during their field practicums.
During her time at the VA, Allison received her certification in Reproductive Mental Health. Through this training grew a passion for assisting others with perinatal and infertility concerns. Allison is currently working towards her Perinatal Mental Health certification.
Allison understands firsthand how beautifully complex life can be, and she brings that real-world perspective into every session and every service she provides. Allison’s clients often describe her as the “empathetic friend” who listens deeply, offers practical support, and helps them feel grounded even in overwhelming moments. Whether she’s providing therapy, assisting with important documents as a notary, or offering guidance, Allison’s approach is always compassionate, steady, and solutions-focused.

When she’s not working, you can usually find her outdoors—hiking, exploring new places, or soaking up quiet moments with her family and their dog. Nature is her reset button, and the balance it brings shows up in the calm, centered way she supports others. This is a motivating force in having Walk & Talk Therapy available.

In her practice, Allison creates a space where people can be open, feel understood, and move forward with confidence. She believes that everyone’s story deserves respect and that growth happens best when you have someone in your corner who truly gets it.
My Story
The Green Collective was created with a simple mission: to offer a space where people feel supported in every season of life. Through years of working as a therapist, I’ve seen how essential connection, clarity, and community truly are—not only during times of struggle, but also in the moments of celebration, transition, and growth that shape who we are.

That vision naturally grew into a practice that offers more than counseling. In addition to therapy services, I also provide notary and wedding officiant services for individuals and families who want a trustworthy, down-to-earth professional by their side. Whether you're signing important documents, preparing for a meaningful milestone, or seeking emotional support, my goal is the same: to make every step smooth, compassionate, and personal. This practice was built to meet people where they are, honor their stories, and help them move forward with confidence.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe in creating a grounded, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. I’ve spent my career serving Veterans, older adults, and individuals navigating medical, emotional, and major life challenges—and I bring that same compassion, steadiness, and real-life understanding into my private practice.

My approach is collaborative and empowering. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths, your goals, and what truly matters to you. Whether you're managing stress, adjusting to change, or working through deeper personal struggles, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, honesty, and practical support. With a background in acute psychiatry, primary care, crisis assessment, and care coordination, I am committed to helping people find clarity, confidence, and meaningful paths forward.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is approachable, real, and fully in your corner, I would be honored to work with you. No matter which service brings you here, I’m grateful to be part of your journey. Let’s take the next step together.
