FAQs
Green & Grounded – Mental Health & Wellness
What services do you offer?
We provide individual therapy for those 18 years and older, and Walk & Talk therapy.

What is Walk & Talk Therapy?
Walk & Talk Therapy is an alternative to traditional in-office or telehealth sessions. Instead of sitting indoors, we meet outdoors and combine movement with therapeutic conversation.
Clients often find this approach helpful for reducing anxiety, increasing openness, and improving emotional regulation. Sessions take place in safe, agreed-upon locations and are weather-permitting.
If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you, we can discuss it during a consultation.

How do I schedule an appointment?
You can request an appointment through our online scheduling form or by contacting us via phone or email. We’ll follow up to confirm availability.

Do you offer virtual (telehealth) sessions?
Yes. We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth appointments for clients located in states where we are licensed. We use SimplePractice platform for HIPAA-compliant EHR.

What can I expect during my first session?
Your first session focuses on understanding you—your history, concerns, goals, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels supportive and tailored to your needs.

How long does therapy last?
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some individuals benefit from short-term work, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll regularly check in to ensure therapy continues to serve your goals.

What ages do you work with?
We provide therapy for adults. If you’re seeking services for a younger child, we’re happy to make recommendations.

Is therapy confidential?
Yes. All sessions are confidential and follow legal and ethical standards. Exceptions include concerns about safety or situations where reporting is required by law, which your therapist will review during your intake session.

Do you prescribe medication?
No, we do not prescribe medication. If medication becomes part of your treatment plan, we can collaborate with your primary care provider or psychiatrist.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a late fee. No-show or late cancellation fee is $75. If something urgent comes up, please reach out.

What if I don’t feel connected to my therapist?
A strong therapeutic relationship is essential. If you feel the fit isn’t right, we welcome your feedback and will help connect you to another provider if needed.
